Westman Co-Ed Rec Hockey (WCRH) was a program with Prairie West Rec for several years until its own became an independent program in 2008 with the help of a few dedicated individuals. The mission of WCRH is: To offer boys and girls in the Westman area an affordable opportunity to develop hockey skills in a non-contact, less competitive, recreational environment as well as promoting good sportsmanship and friendships.
Our volunteer organization offers opportunities for any child ages 6-18 (must be turning 6 or 18 and still be in school before Dec 31) of any skill level, to be able to participate in the sport of hockey. Our goals are to provide a fun and safe (non-contact for all ages) recreational activity that promotes good sportsmanship, builds self-esteem, team work, and encourages physical activity.
Currently we have 3 age groups, (6-9, 10-13 and 14-18 ) and each team has practice on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. With games/tournaments on weekends.
Our Team Calendars are updated on Team Snap.
